2020 marks the 75th year since the end of WWII.
My VFW post is having a raffle to celebrate that historic victory.
We will be giving away a 5 gun collection of rifles from the major players of that conflict.
The drawing is on the 75th anniversary of VJ day, Aug 15th 2020.

The entire collection, and the custom Oak gun rack will go to the winner.

    Allies
    U.S.A.................M1 Garand.
    England..............Lee Enfield No1 Mk3.
    Russia................Mosin Nagant 91/30.

    Axis
    Germany............Mauser Kar 89k.
Japan................Arisaka Type 99. (still has the chrysanthemum)

The gun rack is being made now, (just some sanding left) then it will go to a lady who does antique restorations to be stained. I'm in Remington in anyone wants to come get tickets. The post is 1279 in Rensselaer, and is still open on Friday evenings 5-730 for fish fry carry outs. I'll mail them if you send an extra 50 cents for the stamp...

As of right now I'm getting money by mail for tickets, but nobody is including the 50 cents extra for the stamp like was requested... If this continues, I'll start sending the checks back... rather than the tickets...

    VFW Post 1279
    315 E. Maple St.
    Rensselaer, IN 47978

Send name, address, phone number... and the money.

Tickets are $10, or 6 for $50. Plus 50 cents for the stamp.

I'll be making the rounds at gun shows if this isolation crap ever ends...

I shared this information on the Veterans forum on that big gun auction forum......not too many people have seen it but the management gets a little uptight about soliciting directly for raffles, something about online gambling isn't allowed.
