Anyone know where I can get an AR 15 A1 16" upper. i want to go retro and build a CAR-15. Or does anyone know where I can buy a retro CAR-15?

I'm not looking for flat tops. I'm looking for an old school A1 sporter 16" barrel carbine upper with carrying handle less the brass bump and sight adjustment wheel of the A2 upper.

If you want to build a proper A1 clone, there aren't all that many options but NoDak has some stuff. NoDak Spud Retro Lowers

Century has the C15a1 but I believe they're all 20" (might not be but I haven't seen any 16" not that it wouldn't be a big deal to swap a barrel).

At some point, I want to do the NoDak retro build with the battlefield pick up treatment. Possibly with the trigger style charging handle.

You can get parts at the 1500. I have a 20" AR totally A1, thin barrel, three prong flash enhancer, even no forward assist. In fact it has all M16 internals except for the autosear.
