I have a Krico .22 Hornet that I've owned for 10yrs or so. I've tried to research it in the past and never could really ID it. It looks like a Mini Sniper rifle in .22 Hornet to me. I found one model similar to it but it was a magazine fed weapon and this is a single shot. It is very well made, has a beautiful walnut stock with stippling and a double set trigger. I have never shot it but I recently mounted a scope on it and want to see how well it shoots. I need to find somewhere close to Indy to test it out soon. Any ideas on it? :dunno:

you should be able to shoot that at any of the public ranges..
22 hornet is more powerful than 22 mag.. but it is not a big boomer like 22-250.

here is s site selling those rifles.

hornet is a great hunting round..
will take critters up to coyotes...

if you plan on shooting a lot, think about reloading.. I reload for less than 25% of the cost of factory ammo..

My rifle is not a 301. It is closer to the 401

    Kric-Model-401

But my stock is different, it is a single shot and my bbl is 23" long. I normally shoot 17HMR, 22LR and 22Mag at MCF&G and centerfire rifles are Verboten there.

Sounds good Glitch. I only have 2 boxes of ammo and for what it is it seems a bit expensive to me. I shoot a lot of 22 but I bet this thing will spoil me. ;)

Aim Surplus has a good price. Currently in stock.

Though I don't own anything that shoots this round, I'd go the reloading route too.

Prvi Partizan PPU .22 Hornet 45grn SP 50rd Box

Now that's more like it! I want to see how it shoots and if I keep it before I stock up on ammo. I think I have 4 boxes or so right now. I have a feeling it'll shoot well and will be with me for a few more years. ;)

Decided to try to find some info on this again and this thread was one of the first few to show up! Talk about coming back from the dead. Anyways, I’m thinking this is a model 400. Still haven’t shot it and it just sits in the safe. Maybe someday.

    Not far from the tree
Dang! How do you do that?

I can hardly make it home with a new one w/o shooting it. Been known to stop out in the country and check function and sights on walnut trees along the road.
