I am getting ready to install a Skinner peep sight on a Marlin 1894 I use for harvesting venison.

Are there any references folks around here would suggest I review before I begin?

My primary concern is the front sight. I hope I can retain the stock front sight, but what difficulties might I expect in doing so? What alternatives might I look into?

Any input or direction to reference materials folks might give would be much appreciated.

    With best regards and thanks.

A friend installed a Skinner on his '94, had to install a taller front sight as well.

If your factory iron sights are sighted in, install the Skinner and see if you can get the peep to align with the irons. You may be OK with your existing front sight.
