Looking to get another AR to supplement my other ARs. Please don't suggest Colt as I already have one and don't want another. I'm leaning towards the KAC as it has the features I'm really looking for i.e. ambi mag & bolt release.

    Which one?

I may be missing something, but aren't there alot of other choices in AR format rifles that can have ambidextrous features added on? I added a Troy ambi bolt release to mine for $35 and an ambi safety selector for $20? Not sure about an ambi mag release as I never looked into it.
As for the choices in your poll, I have been really impressed with the fit and finish of LWRC rifles I have handled.

I'd say LMT and buy the troy parts and other things to make it ambi. I wouldn't buy a rifle simply because its ambi when you can make any of them that way.

Buy the best rifle that fits your needs, then make it an ambi if you need to

COLTS, Bushmasters, Compass Lake Engineering, White Oak rifles have all been very good for me in the past, none gave any problems and were accurate and reliable. The latest AR is from Stag arms. It was reasonably priced, and has been flawless in operation and is very accurate. I had never shot a STAG brand rifle, but Stan at Applied Ballistics has sold a bunch of them and the customers have all been happy. I am happy with mine.

I particular don't like the BAD Lever or the Troy ambi-bolt releases. With the KAC these are already built-in. I'm not a newbie when it comes to ARs, as I know all these exist. Where they are located is what is key to me esp. when you are a lefty. I know Stag and RRA both make left-handed AR models but neither interest me.

What do you guys know about the Rock River AR's? Any good? Though I would like to build my own, RR has a mid-length set up about the way I want to do mine. My concern with the RR and some of the other lower priced AR's is the quality of the barrel.

Obviously you keep wanting ambi but have you felt the ambi on a SR15? It certainly isn't for me, though I am a righty/righty.

Yep and that is probably what I am going to get. I got the funds. I think some people don't understand when you are a lefty and how the controls on an AR kind of suck for you. The add-on "band-aids" out there just don't really cut it.

So many choices out there. I'm having the same problem deciding what to go with. Although I don't have a colt and keep getting that suggestion.
