My dad gave me an old double barrell shotgun that belonged to my great grandfather. The stock is broke. The best I can find on it is that it is a Davis. Does anyone know where a replacement stock might be found or of anyone who finishes blanks so that I might be able to restore it?

Is this a Crescent Davis gun ( might also read N.R. Davis)? Is it a side by side or over/under. You are probably going to have to take the stock to a gunsmith / stock maker and have one custom made to match the original. Finding a direct replacement would be hard and probably not worth the time.

I think it is Crescent Davis, side by side. Can you recommend anyone that is good to make one? I can do the finishing work myself as long as it is cut, shaped and fitted. Don't really want to put much into it as it is more a sentimental piece than anything else.
