So I recently picked up a new AK. I was at my local gun shop talking to my buddy Mario, owner of M&S Armament, and the topic of a new AK got brought up (by me of course). I asked him if he could find me a milled Arsenal AK. Ive wanted to get one since I first got into guns many years ago. With a very slim chance he checked his distributors website and after going through 3-4 pages of nothing but out of stock arsenals he found one that was actually in stock and it happened to be the EXACT one I was looking for, the Arsenal SLR 101S. So he placed the order and at the beginning of this week it came in and I was able to take her home.

It came in just a plain jane cardboard box with (1) 10 round mag, sling, oil can, cleaning kit and a nice laminated manual.

So for the review. Just looking over the rifle, cycling the action and testing trigger I could tell this was a top notch rifle.

I was able to take it out once so far and put some mags through it and it shot great. It cycled and shot SUPER smooth and the trigger is very light and crisp. I dont have a sight tool yet but I plan on getting one very soon and getting this thing sighted in and see what kind of groups she is capable of.

The mags fit super tight with no movement what so ever. I picked up a couple bulgarian circle 10 mags and they fit just as tight.

Now for some pics and a video:

If any of you out there are looking for a very nice AK to add to your collection I highly recommend looking at the Arsenal SLR 101S.

Great rifle. I've been running one since 2003 and have thousands upon thousands of rounds through it. They are a bit heavy, but dead nuts reliable and smooth in operation. Quite accurate as well.

I find most arsenals are bang on right out of the box. You may find you don't need to adjust anything.
