    There's probably a good reason but if you don't ask, you'll never know......if they were in such high demand, why did they stop making them in the first place?

    Pffft, it's the gun culture. Gun makers do stuff just to set the gun nuts off every single day.:D

    In the world of imports, some things change that have nothing to do with demand. Winchester was selling a European manufactured O/U that was made to be a certain price point. It was actually a high value product. When the world currencies shifted around, the exchange rate ate up any chance for profit, so it was dropped with no notice. International trade can get pretty tricky.
