AR pics also available, but this little carbine is one of my favorites.

No pics, but I mainly run a Winchester SX3 Turkey edition with a Pure Gold .670 Choke and Eotech 512. For longer range dogs, a Weatherby Vanguard SMOA in 204 Ruger with a Sightron Big Sky 3-9x42 target dot reticle.

    Nice sticks, folks. Nice indeed.

Rookie, dhamby, and, https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/members/kjq6945.htmlKJQ6945 - What brands are those round/round-ish handguards that you're using on the ARs?

I THINK that I want a round / unrailed handguard for my mental project. But I'm not beholden to it.

I have this on a rifle now: https://algdefense.com/ergonomic-modular-rail-emr-v3-m-lok.html and I think it's pretty darned slick.

But thinking about these for the new build:

    https://algdefense.com/ergonomic-modular-rail.html
    https://algdefense.com/ergonomic-modular-rail-v1-m-lok.html
    https://algdefense.com/ergonomic-modular-rail-v0-e.html

But I've also thought about something like these, too:
AR-15 FREE FLOAT HANDGUARDS | Brownells
    AR-15 TACTICAL HANDGUARDS | Brownells

However, I'm not beholden to any particular brand or style. M-Lok would be my preferred mounting system but that's not necessary. I may not mount anything at all on my rig. I do know, however, that I like the aesthetic that the longer handguard provides. (IE a 15" handguard on a 16" barrel)

Mine is a Samson evolution. It has a picatinny rail all along the top. The only downside is it has proprietary mounts for the bottom and sides which isn't that big of a deal. It's thin (probably 1 1/2 inch) and light, and I got it from a friend for dirt cheap.

I would suggest a rail on top so you can mount a light.

I didn't puncture these 2. One of my deer hunters did. This pic does have my Savage in it though because I went out to check out the carcasses a week later. He killed a third the same day.

6.5 Creedmoor. I am looking forward to time to whack some vermin.:rockwoot:

5 shots at about .5" ctc. Hornady factory loads. 120 grain. Only about 25-30 rounds through the tube.

My kind of party right here! Looks like I get double bonus points. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. Couldn't figure out rotation either. O well you get the idea.

Top to bottom or bottom to top.

Savage 93R17FVSR (17HMR) for little critters
DPMS Bull Sweet 16 (.223 Rem) for medium critters
Core 15 M4 Scout (300 BLK) for large critters

Just finished building one of these for the owner of our company as a Christmas gift and saw the same thing....STUPID accurate for the $$$

I cleaned bore using proper methods and the first box of real ammo I sent through it showed .65" at 150 yards....hate to think what it can do once it gets broken in and you find what ammo it REALLY likes.
