SCW 91/30 with a twist

Picked this one up just this week from an on line auction. It has a lot going for it that I like, 1st it is a SCW Mosin which I collect, It's a 1936 Mosin which is one of the years I really concentrate on collecting, and it is the 1st SCW Mosin that I have seen stamped with the duel date 1936-7. Other than that it is your typical SCW mix master rifle with the possible exception of this one have a fairly nice and shiny bore.

Interesting. Neat that the barrel shank and mag serials match. Odd divot taken out of the barrel channel, does the other side have the same thing?

No it doesn't John, figure what ever Izhevsk rifle this stock use to be on suffered some sort of battle damage that ruined the barrel but left the stock largely intact.
