Came across a Winchester 1890 octagon shorts only crescent stock, all original 110 years young, heavy patina. What is a safe $ to be in it for? Looks to be a pretty solid old girl.

What it's worth to you at that moment in time......Without a pic it's hard to determine value...Mint it would be up around a $800 and north....Shooter grade maybe $300 or so retail...Check completed Gunbroker auctions and look for one close to that condition for retail value...

He is asking 750.00 and it is no even close to mint. I have checked gb completed listings and they are all over the place. I was thinking 400-maybe 500 but he won't move on it. Was considering it to hang on to it for a while and be able to get out of it later without getting hurt too bad on it. 750 takes me out of it.
