    It is a NFA item, just like any other silencer or machine gun. They have made integral barrels for guns for a long time, this one just happens to fit on a Ruger take down.

    Thanks guess I am a bit behind the times I had no idea they made such things. Kind of cool but not price of admission and extortion payment cool.

    I think this, too.

    - yeah it would, but then I couldn't use said suppressor on anything else and that's a mighty big financial commitment just to use it on one firearm kind of thing.
