    The article calls it a shotgun multiple times, but the gun is marked "223 rem" on the side of the receiver and it was definitely ejecting rifle brass. It looks like it is a pump action rifle.

    1. It's not a shotgun.

    2. It's been around for over 30 years since the South Africans made a slide action version of the R4.

    3. Someone calling themselves the "Business Insider" really should do more research.

    And a barley over 16" barrel for US markets may pose an issue for ATF if it was a shotgun.
