I am contemplating picking up one of these that supposedly only has a few rounds thru it for $360. I am finishing up my 300blk pistol build this week and I like to multiple guns that use the same ammo so can mix up my range sessions without toting a truck bed full of gear. I've read a few reviews that claim it is very accurate and wondering if it's a diamond in the rough. Does anyone have any experience with these rifles? Worth the price for an extra deer rifle/range toy?

Also, would a 3x9-40 scope originally designed for .223 work well on this?

    Thanks a lot!

Buds Guns has that same rifle brand new for $396 and free shipping. I have been looking at them for a while. I wouldn't personally pay $360 for a used version when I could pay $396 + FFL transfer fee for a brand new one. The only complaint I have read is the magazine can be a little touchy until it gets broke in.

I have a buddy who owns one, and I recently got to fire a few rounds through it. I really liked it! However, he told me that he has had issues with the rotary magazines, which river happily replaced for him after a call to customer service.

That is where im at. Its local and gives me another rifle to share ammo with but It's not really a good deal. Comes with a box of ammo but I typically put ammo from an unknown person in the back of the closet for a shtf situation. I doubt anything is wrong with it but rather buy from my lgs knowing it's new ammo. The reviews I've read said it's very accurate but most of the time I feel like they say nearly every firearm is good bc they got them or something else for free from the supplier.

The mags (if anything like my predator) are ultra flimsy plastic. No worries though.....magpul is dropping a new stock This fall that accepts pmags!

Otherwise, it's a very light handy accurate weapon.

As to price, yea....That's a little high for a used rig imho.

This has been my experience with the ruger american series, and a buddies as well. Slick rifles for the money and good quality/accuracy. The mags are he only cheesy spot IMO but like I quoted, Ruger will make good on it if needed.

magpul is putting out a stock for this rifle! That is kind of a game changer. I will look into that
