Have a friend that wants me to build an AR pistol in .40 cal.
Anyone have info on where to get parts specifically to build this caliber? Please...

Why? Is he getting ammo for free or...?

i say this because they haven't even sorted out 9mm AR's for the most part yet (Colt 6450 being the standard).

My thoughts exactly. WHY? Unless he is highly invested in .40 guns already, I see NO reason to build a .40 AR. AR-9 would be much cheaper to shoot. AR-45 would be a great AR to suppress (I have one). I see no reason to build an AR-40

Me either. I have had pistol caliber carbines in the past, and really see no use in them at all anymore with suppressed sbr's out there, that give you all the power of a full rifle round.
