I’m working on a 16” 5.56/.223 build that will suppressed a good amount of it’s life. Has anyone used the superlative arms bleed off gas block or the Seekins Precision adjustable block? Or is anyone managing the gas another way with a standard gas block?
I use the Superlative Arms gas block on an AR10. It is a little hard to get the initial settings but after you have the settings changing from un-suppressed to suppressed is easy. I use a Bootleg Adjustable Carrier for AR15s. It is more expensive but it can be used in several ARs and is adjustable through the ejection port.
These are the 2 I use . Both serve their purpose very well . Once I got my initial setting , I have had no issues . I use mine mainly on prairie dog hunt . I have put close to 4000 rounds suppressed without a single hiccup . Definitely helps with blowback .
I had a friend that switched to piston drive for this years trip and nothing but issues . I think he most likely switch back to the adj. gas block .
