Straight out of the box, cleaned and then lubed with Weapon Shield and sporting an Athlon Talos 3-12X40, Harris Bi-pod, a WWII era leather cheek riser and a Montana Sling.

A preliminary laser bore sighting followed with a fine tuning with a 10 round mag of Stingers gave me the 10 round top and bottom groups at 50 yards:

Pretty danged good for a mass produced .22lr semi-auto right out of the box. Triggers used to hold 10/22s back. Wonder if the new target model trigger is better than they used to be.

They should just put the BX trigger in everything but the lowest-end models and be done with it. It’s a great trigger for the money.

I had made an inquiry of Brimstone as to which trigger would be the better candidate for their magic where this Target 10/22 was concerned.

I got the response from Will Sarchet of Brimstone that follows:

" That's going to depend on if you prefer a single stage trigger or a two stage. The BX trigger can be brought down lighter, about 1.5lbs, sometimes less, but because of the different sear and disconnector cannot be made a single stage trigger. The "target" trigger group is a factory group with a slightly different hammer notch angle. It is for our purposes the same as a normal trigger group, and can be taken down to 2lbs, and with the Tier 1 work can be made a single stage trigger. So in summary, BX for a two-stage, the stock group for a single-stage. "
