Bought an old 1894 today, 32 WS, made in 1905. A little cleaning and out to the range. Shooting the rifle for the first time which sports a Sheard front sight and a factory rear, I was pleased to get 5 for 5 on the 100 yard 8 inch gong shooting off hand. Ammo was my own loads using an RCBS cast lead bullet. Just picking up a 112 year old 26" barrel 1894 Winchester that you've never fired before and getting good accuracy is a great feeling.:)

Beautiful rifle and makes me take a walk down memory lane.
I used to shoot one of those and used it for hunting. It's in Tennessee at the family farm in a closet.

I use the same bullet in my 32-40, get the same good accuracy. I think RCBS did a good job with that one.

Congrats, I have always like lever actions, sound like a great gun. I have a newer Winchester (think it is a 50's ~ 70's version) in .308, and a Marlin 30-30. Bought a Marlin lever 22 mag from the same guy as the .308 but son liked it so he owns it now. I did make the mistake of disassembling the .308 to smooth out the action. I was successful but took me over 4 hours to re-assemble the action!

Nice and more pictures please! I'm real close to putting a Uberti 45 LC into layaway.

One of the great features of this type of old Winchester was the take down aspect for easier packing. I'm always looking around for a leather carrier from the same era.
