Hey, guys! Did someone had the experience of shots with Nitro Express .700 cartridges? What do you think about this? :D

I do love the double rifles...but .700NE does not fit with your moniker. :D I see the ammo is going for $45 per round (not box) :spend:...that makes .50bmg downright cheap! Have fun!

My dad got on a Nitro collector spree for a few decades.
The largest I shot was the 416.
I'd suggest having all original teeth with no fillings and tape your pockets shut as well.
Rubber Fruit of the Looms might be a wise move.

IF I were to shoot one, you'd better believe that I'll have a sandbag ON my shoulder for the gun to rest on. Either that or strap a steel plate up there.

If it was a pistol, I would be impressed but in a rifle - it's just another cartridge...Actually, I think it scares me. ALTHOUGH....if I could afford it I would undoubtedly have one.

Doesn't seem to have much use that other more practical rounds can handle, like a .505 Gibbs. LOL!

I'm baffled. I had a Nitro Express video in my post above, different from Halfmileharry's, and poof! It's gone. was there this morning. ??

ETA: or at least I can't see it, now that I am at home. I just went to another thread where I know there is a video, and that post is blank too.

If scientists are ever able to bring back brontosaurus' and T-Rex's from fossil DNA, then I could see where this might come in handy. Until then, not so much! :):
