Looking at a 1954 model 12 that I would say is in the high 80% range. It is all original full choke, no rib, no compensator, 28" field model. GB prices are all over the place. What are your thoughts guys? He won't move off of 500.

Model 12 market is in a slump right now unless it's a Pigeon, Super Pigeon, Black Diamond, Trap, etc. and even then it's not at a peak

How much adjustment does the sleeve still have?

I did not look but the fit is still tight. Overall it is in good shape, I am just looking to add to my old Winchester collection and I do not have a win shotgun.

That would a common price at the local gun shows for one in really good shape, to the best of my memory. Usually ones showing quite a bit of wear are around $400.

I agree, $500 is way to much, you can do better, they are not hard to find.

I love Model 12's! $500 for an 80% Field Grade is at least $100.00 too high. I drove 35 miles a few month's ago to look at a Model 12 Trap Gun. It wasn't an original Trap Gun, it had a Simmons Rib and some sort of aftermarket Wood (looked like Pallet Lumber). I took it apart and the Ring was on the last Notch. When I told him it's problems he told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I didn't bring it home!

That is a $300 gun. If you really like it, $400. I have sold a few for less than that.

I bought a really nice 1964 trap with custom mood for $500. That was a good deal, but they are still out there.

    Update,
Well I actually went another direction. I bought a 1988 11-87 premier that "was" in near perfect condition until fedex got their hands on it. FFL received it and the box was so tore up you could reach in a grab the gun, well in the process the forend received the infamous large crack. I still took possession of it and now I am in the process of getting the claim paid which is looking promising "shows paid". The wood will have to be replaced as a set to match, and that is not cheap for wood. Over 300.00 FYI. 450 for the gun 330 claim, It may turn out OK. I will live with the crack.
