Any suggestions? Already have a 14.5" M4 style bbl but it takes standard low-pro gas blocks. BBL has the dimple.

Question- does anyone know of any FSB-tower A2- type gas blocks? I've seen the clamp on style but didnt know if they were reliable/rugged?

    Thoughts/comments?

    Regards,

EDIT: Found a DIY method to utilize a taper pins base FSB-tower here... A Catholic Mechanic: DIY A2 Front Sight Base Install

I have installed a few Armilite clamp-on front sight bases and I have never had any problems with them. They are probably not as rugged as the pin-on bases but I think they are strong enough for all but the most severe use.

The Armalite bases are rifle height so a taller front sight post would be needed for a carbine.

Plan B... Where would you look for a 14.5" bbl complete with FSB, and pinned FH? A bbl that someone has removed for an upgrade. A "take off".

Scrounge around classys, GB and Arf EE?

    Thanks again.

    .
I have an extra A2 that is drilled and tapped for a NM setup. 0.750 journal.

The clamp on JP is reliable, but not extant. And mine is not for sale. :)
