Hello, I'm brand new to the site. Thanks for accepting me. I am looking for a particular bolt gun and am not sure if it exists. Here are the things I'm looking for:

    Lefthanded
    .308win
    medium contour barrel
    Under $500.00

    Thanks

I bought a Mossberg Patriot bolt gun last year in .30-06.
It was about $400 but I don't know if they're offered in a lefty model.

As a fellow lefty (shooting ONLY), I feel your pain. Thank God Savage, in particular, has been offering lefty bolt guns. I know it's a heavy 24" barrel, but I bought a 10 FLCP-SR for $429 after rebate last year. Watch for Savage rebates, mine was $100.

Welcome to INGO! Looks like you've got some good options going already. I know the pain of looking for left handed bolt guns! Good luck!

I fire left handed, but I guess I do it wrong; I keep my finger on the trigger and work the action with my right hand. That opens things up a lot; military surplus and default right handed rifles, plus if we're ever in such a situation, I can pick up whatever's laying around and use it. As a side effect, I'm barrel meltingly fast.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I have shot left-handed with right-handed rifles. When I sold my last one, I wanted to make sure I got a lefty next time. I know Savage is really good about offering them, but the one I really want is their hog hunter. It comes with a medium contour barrel, but no left-handed actions.
