Verney-Carron Unveils French Army Precision Rifle Entry

The French Army is looking to replace the ancient FR F2 (Repeating/Bolt-Action Rifle, Model 2). Verney-Carron, primarily known from its awesome hunting rifles and shotguns, has a brand new defense division which recently unveiled its entry into the contract application process.

Heckler & Koch is expected to be the primary challenger.

They also came up recently with the VCD 15, a French made AR-15 variant.

Too bad it wasn't picked by the military and they went with a German made gun instead.

The VCD 15 should be sold to the general public for sport shooting.
