I just received this gun in a trade.

It’s a sporting version (sporting clays, 30 inch barrel, extended chokes).

Questions for those who own the non-sporting versions of this gun:
1-Is the barrel on yours ported? Mine is.
2-Are your chokes flush with the barrel and not extended (needing a choke tube wrench)? Mine came with extended tubes and no wrench.
3-How long is your bead sight? Mine is about a half inch long.

The non sporting version (at least in comparison of the two models we have) does not have a ported barrel, does not have extended choke tubes but has the same front FO sight.

The sporting version has the extended controls, ported barrel, extended choke tubes, etc.

Models, years etc. may vary but that’s what we have.

Thanks. I have the blue controls on mine. Kinda fugly, lol. That’s the only thing I’ll change. Easy enough to unscrew the bolt release; Will deal with the bolt handle later.

I have had the M3500 for several years now and couldn't be happier. A breeze to clean compared to my Remington 11-87.

Chokes are are flush with a little tool to change. I believe Benelli chokes work in the Stoeger's.
