Big Brown just delievered my latest range beast, a very nice M1C reproduction build. IU have been wanting a M1 sniper I could take to the range and not have to worry about doing something to hurt its value and this filled the bill.

Its a Springfield Arsenal, 3,***,*** s/n receiver ( WW2), 1962 replacement barrel, reproduction Griffin & Howe mount & base, with a Hi-Lux reproduction M82 scope, and late style ( Vietnam) T37 flash hider, and no its not CMP.

But CMP does have a M1C with a replacement G&H base (only) right now for a cool $3100.00. Add 2k for an original mount ( if you can find one) plus $1,500 for an original M82, plus $800 for the flash hider and cheek rest and you are an easy 7K for a cobbled together "C"

I shoot lefty so the M1C and D have no hold over me.

I also put new op rods on all my shooters. Having that much metal flying back and forth just in front of your face make it a good investment.

Those '60's barrels are GREAT shooters but they hate a bore brush. Doing a military scrub on them will cost you a box of ammo before she starts to hit predictably again. Swab only will save you money and ulcers. Don't ask me how I know...
