    And what do you think. I’d like a lever gun in 45 colt and my go to are marlins but this one looks terribly handy and I like the fact that it’s a takedown. My only worry is that I read somewhere that they are no longer making the 16” version? If you have one what do you think and how does the quality compare to a marlin (not remlington)

    I know Henry makes them, I have Henry in 22lr and 30-30 and are both unbelievably accurate and beautiful works of craftsmanship.. you do pay for it though

    Oh, I've totally heard of Henry. Just not the Alaskan Takedown. :)

    I have a fondness for both Alaska and takedown style firearms. That's a firearm destined to join my meager collection.
