Was at the Henry County Vintage Sniper Championship this past weekend and while there I picked up nice little K98 to play at the range with. Its a 1940 Mauser Oberndorf manufacture and is a mix master but with a fantastic bore. The scope mount is a Pre-war Akah SSR setup with Kahles H/4x60 glass. This rifle has been shot at Vintage Sniper matches before and has always shot well so when I had a chance to pic it up I leaped at the chance. Hope to get some range time with it this weekend if the weather holds out.

Very nice!!! Be very careful. You could fall into the dark side and find you like Mauser better than Mosin. Probably not but, I always preferred the Mauser. Softer shooter for one. Just watched a movie about Ludmila Pavlichenko about a week ago. That chick could shoot a Mosin!!
