Hey so I have a 300 blackout and took off the original flash hider to put a suppressor mount on it. I have seen took off the suppressor mount and want to put the flash hider back on. My problem is that I am not 100% sure which one was on the rifle to begin with. Which brings me to my dumb question. I only have two .30 cal flash hiders that will tread on since the 5.56 ones won't fit to begin with. One is from the 300 blackout and the other is from a 7.62x39. Does it really matter which one I put on? Since they are both .30 cal hiders they should both work without causing a problem right??

The size variance between the two rounds is inconsequential and if they are both ARs, then most manufacturer's use .300 flashhiders for for 7.62 Soviet guns to simplify their assembly lines. As long as the thread is the same pitch, there is EFFECTIVELY no issue.
