    I was wondering if colt front site bases are drilled for gas port ? The gun is recoil operated so it doesn't need gas tube . Did they just put a standard site base on ?

    It's a faux sight. You'll have to tap the pins out of the muzzle break to get it off and slide the sight off. You can put a rail type sight base on it. If you're wanting to go with a free floating handguard, you'll have to change the barrel anyway.

    Or get a railed drop in handguard and put the sight on it.
