I bought one years ago as a sympathy buy. Poor condition cosmetically but good mechanically.

This gun has more than three times the number of parts than any other gun I have worked on. Having a two piece pivoting bolt makes a difference but they really over engineered every function on this gun. I am surprised it is a reliable gun, but it functions flawlessly.

These were depression era guns and used as incentives to buy Marlin Stock.

All milled construction, 100's of places for dirt to pile up, bookoo surface area and it still works. Guess they got lucky...

Nobody will ever tell you my brain works correctly, but if I see it come apart once I can put it back. Even a year or so later (don't ask).

This one was the toughest but it is clean now. Next I will strip it and re-blue after some cosmetic changes.

It even has a real ivory front bead.
