    It's not a coincident that many "custom" builder actions are Defiance actions renamed. A GAP "templar"? Defiance.

    If I was looking at a high end action, I'd look at either Defiance or ARC and pretty much nobody else.

    The machining process is what sets Defiance apart. Most companies machine, then heat treat (heat can change tolerance's a bit). Definance heat treat's, then machine's. Every other build I do is with Defiance. I always get a wild hair to try someone else, then remember why I stick to Defiance and go with them for the next, then get another wild hair.

    My last was on a Pierce, and its by far my my least favorite.

    Wire EDM lets you cut and machine in the hardened state. But it’s expensive because it’s slow.

    I’m surprised more makers aren’t following Defiance lead on this.
