    Does anyone know any local sources for mauser parts? I have been trying to find the screw that goes through the lower barrel band on a K98a. I have checked all the online sources with no luck. Numrich, Liberty tree, eBay, gunbroker etc... when I bought this gun someone packed the hole with wood putty and put a short screw in there and let the putty dry around the screw. Did not notice it when I bought it. I noticed it after firing a few rounds and the band came loose.

    I would move this over to the smithing section. Sure someone there could help with repair recommendations or have the part.
