Given how flat the round is between 100-150 yards, what's best - a red dot or something similar? I can't see using any sort of long-range scope on it. What are you using on yours?

I went the other way. Started out with a red dot then went to a 3-9x40. My eyes didn't like hunting with the red dot. The 3-9 is too much for where I usually hunt. If I keep the gun it will eventually end with a 1-6 or 2-7 Vortex.

My AR wears a 2-7 shotgun scope and performs great. It’s taken several deer. I have a bolt gun that wears a Vortex 2.5-10 and hasn’t been used as much as I’d like.

Here's a little inspiration. My cousin just got done building this, turned out really nice. He's got a Vortex strike eagle on his. I believe its 1-6 power.

I've got a 458 myself but I just put a Eotech on it. Just started a 350 legend build, I think I'm gonna go that optic route for it.

Both my 450BM wear Vortex Strike 1-8 . VERY happy with the choice . Plenty of magnification for longer ranges but great to be able to dial way back for close or moving targets . I pretty much exclusively use for deer hunting .
