    Looks like a Tula stamp.

OP, nice 1954 build you have there. Tula used the star, while the Izhevsk factory marked its guns with a triangle:

    yes it did.
Nice package. Shouldn't be to difficult to find a period correct sling if you don't have one. A mess full of stripper clips and you're g2g! Nice looking rifle. If you decide to redo the stock, those round marks on the side by the recoil lug assembly screw should come out easy.

I have 2 other sks that I’m going to show pics of. 1 is set up to take ak magazines . It too looks unfired. The other I think is a Tula that I have owned for years.

Someone more knowledgeable may correct me, but it appears you have a late 60's (67?) Tula refurb. Arsenal 416.

For the love of God, please don't redo anything! These old guns are beautiful, living pieces of history and all those scrapes, scuffs, dents, and marks only add to their beauty. If you want shiny, buy new - literally. Buy a random surplus stock on eBay or, heaven forbid, a Tapco stock. Or, I'll trade you a mixmaster SKS and throw in some cash on my end to rescue that old Ruskie, and you can Bubba this one to your heart's content.
