The ones I have handled in the gun shop look good to go to me. If I were looking to buy an AR Pistol it would be on my list. Ruger makes a drop in trigger that is decent.

I was just reading on another forum that someone was having issues with their new Ruger AR pistol.
It was jamming or stovepipng, a failure to feed, but he said it only happened every other round or so.
He finally figured out that it was only jamming on one side of the feed ramps.

Every time it would try to feed from the left ramp, it would jam.
He sent it back to Ruger.
They returned it stating that they had replaced the carrier.
I don't understand how a carrier would causwe this issue.

No first hand experience with the Ruger AR pistols.

I have come to questioning anything in a warranty response from manf.
Had repeated issues with an SA 1911 that went back a few times. The work stated on the invoice is not what thy did to the pistol. I marked all the internals in a way that if you were not specifically looking you would not see them.
The end result was fixing it myself.

Ruger builds a pile of ARs. I have no doubt a few get into the supply chain that have an issue. But overall we sell them and people shoot them. I have sold several of the Ruger MPRs to family and friends and they all work fine. I have no reason to believe the AR556 wouldn’t work as well. I believe it is a short barrel, carbine gas, SB brace pistol. Nothing special and nothing hard to get running. Ruger has made AR carbines for years with a reliable track record.

Got one a couple weeks ago, runs fine, shoots fine, with and without the suppressor, it doesn't care, tried several brands of mags and several brands of ammo. Right out of the box, wiped it down and put a little rem oil on it and been running just fine.

If you're in the market for a NEW one, probably hard to beat their price point. If *I* were going to buy an AR pistol (As opposed to building one) I'd certainly give them a good look. As well as a used Springfield Saint (whom I've heard BCM makes).
