I wanted to share a very interesting 91/30 I traded for at a gun show earlier this year. Not your typical refurbished/force matched Russian rifle, this one has all factory original parts and saw little to no refurbishment after WW2. The bore is excellent and it groups really well at 100 yards. I really like the rough machining visible on various parts, I'm sure these rifles were rushed out of the factory with a little more urgency after the German invasion in 1941. Amazing that this particular rifle seemed to sit out the war and not get torn up on the Eastern front.

Thanks Walt, I appreciate your help with my collection, especially the Spanish Civil War rifles

I hear ya on the accuracy, some of them shoot great and others I can't hit paper at 100 yards no matter what I do.

Appreciate the replies, I have some more unique mosin nagant rifles, if I find some time I'll post 'em up.

    Thanks
    -John

Nice looking rifle! Who was importer? I got several from Cole's Distributing years ago that had basically the same minimal refurb. IIRC those came out of a non-Soviet Warsaw Pact country.

Good clean rifle you have there. Top notch.

BTW....I have never had a Mosin that shoots that well. But, maybe it's me.

I take it you've never shot a Finn.;)
