Looking for information on a G. Glisenti Brescia Percussion Musket. Friend reached out to me, since he is not a gun guy. After several hours of digging around online, I have been unable to find out any definitive details about this particular firearm. Any feedback from black powder or history buffs would be more than welcome.

Now for the details; Smooth-bore percussion musket. Overall Length: 55.75 inches. Barrel Length: 40.0 inches. Bore Diameter: .67 inches / 17.1 mm.

The basic pattern is a French Model 1842 Musket. Brescia is a city in Northern Italy. A number of different countries adopted this pattern of musket so hard to tell which it was made for, plus, Italy wasn't yet unified so you might want to research the history of the city to figure out what it was a part of at that time. It is more common to encounter the ones made in Belgium, I don't recall seeing an Italian made one.
