Lookin for an enthusiast that could give me some insight on this piece. All I know is that it says A.J. Aubrey on the side and has laminated barrels. I’m not even sure what size it is.. I’ve posted a few places with little help in the research department. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

**update-The inside of the barrels look amazing. Obviously it still need to be checked out by a professional.

Looks like it was made 1905-1915 by Meridian Firearms in Connecticut. No real collector value and I would recommend having it checked by someone who knows sxs shotguns before shooting it.

Not enough of them change hands to tell us what the market will bear since there isn't a real market.

I have bought them to dress up as mantle pieces for people, when I do I get them for $100 or less because ones that is cosmetically appealing will bring $125-150.

In reality it is just what someone is willing to pay for one. You might get a fella who says, "my grand dad had one just like it!" and you are in business, but nothing to bank on...

Interestingly - my grandfather did have one just like that. I think my brother has it now.

It is basically an heirloom now, but it is neat to have.

This is a gorgeous piece. Wow! her aesthetical beauty is nothing compared to the new era rifles we see everywhere. I am curious to know more about this Aubrey rifle.

I was able to find a website for Meriden firearms. Pretty interesting stuff. By some numbers under the barrels I was able to decipher the model number is in the 20’s. The second digit isn’t legible. Has T30 under there also which refers to 30” twisted barrels. The only reference on auction I have found identical visually to this was on gun broker, in worse shape, and their starting bid is $825
