I’m new at this researching older guns to find out exactly what they are. Learned a lot the other day from a member on the arasaka that I have. So it was time for the chinese sks and here is what I’ve deciphered. (Correct me if I’m wrong)
Produced in factory 26 Jianshe Arsenal, in 1967.
The triangle with the 26 in it indicates what factory number it came from. It is suppose to have a spike type bayonet. How the barrel is mounted to the receiver and the rear sling mount on the bottom side are two indications that it is 1965-1980. The serial numbers went to 999,999 in 1956, started with 1 million in 1957 and went to the next million each year after that up to 24 million. Beginning numbers in my serial are 11, so 11+1956=1967
