I see them as a failure point.

Also if you grab for a random AR and have to use it your going to be searching for a lever that isn't there. Training issue.

To each his own. Free to be.

    Solid points.
But as with anything personal preferences come into play. I have BL's on all of my ARs except the yote rifle but I also know how to run one with out them.

The bad lever is a bad idea , I've seen 3 accendental discharges due to those things

i had one on my M&P 15-22 steel challenge RFRO. i have arthritis in my hands, i thought having the lever would "help"..

cold, wet hands = AD and a DQ from a match...

I took it off as soon as I got back home.

There's more out there. San tan tactical, ZR tactical, Aero...

They are getting more common. I have two that have an ambi bolt release. Being left handed, I thought it was a great idea, but i never use them. First, I'm used to using the stock location. Second, with a brass catcher, the ambi bolt release isn't accessible.

Cool. Granted, I dont scour the AR press releases, but had never noticed this trend.

Now if I can only find another $2k to drop on a rifle... :):

Are they getting more popular in the real world? Or the wanna be world wearing 511's at Applebee's?
Both of my sons are issued M4's without BAD lever options or other junk hanging off their rifle.

Oh and both of them are left handed.
