I may be looking for a unicorn, as I’ve struck out.

Before I give up, maybe someone an give me some direction if there a such thing as a USA made, over/under shotgun, 20g, with choke tubes? Also under $1000 (Kolars are sweet, but too much $$$)

New or used is totally fine...if something is out there and out of production, I’m willing to go looking. Thanks!

It will be tough to find a US made over under less than about $1500. Ruger Red labels can be had but they are getting hard to find at anything less than that.

$1500ish isn’t totally unpalletable. Did they make these with choke tubes?

I believe they did, but the ones I had were fixed. I’ve had 3 or 4 Red Labels and they are nice guns, but I preferred the Japanese SKB’s and Brownings. The Japanese guns are very nice, but if you’re strictly wanting American, Ruger is the only option I know of. My Winchester 101 is made in Japan, I believe.

I'm all for buying American made when I can, but looking for an O/U specifically made in USA seriously narrows the options. What are you looking to do with it? Clays or hunt??

Fwiw, I’m with most of you. If I wanted this gun for myself, the browning $ for $, would probably top my list. That said, this gun is for my father. He has his priorities and knows/accepts he has limited his options...

Other than the Ruger Red Label, I think Ithaca may have made O/Us in the USA but I don't know if they haf it in 20g.

Have you checked with Indiana Gun Club? They have the best selection of Over/Unders in the state. Both new and used.... They would know about any other brands that have been overlooked at this point.
