My dad is wanting to try and sell the Winchester model 70 .270 that he gave me a while back. I have looked on gun broker but there are many different types and I really have no clue how to asses the value.

    SERIAL # 701023

He told me it is a pre 1964, which looks like that makes them worth more and the gun is in pretty damn good condition.

I will get pictures of the gun and a serial # tomorrow. But anything in the meantime would be appreciated.

Only picture I have right now:

    Thanks
    Nick

I'm pretty sure my wife's grandfather has a recent copy of a gun value book. Post up as much as you can and I'll call him and see what the book says.

I will get the serial # tomorrow but all I know is that the gun is a pre 1964 winchester model 70 .270 the finish and wood looks to be in great condition. I did a once over, not looking for any flaws but didnt see anything major.
