In 2006, Friday Night Steel was started with the goal of creating a cooperative environment where competitors could help each other improve. Since that time, FNS has introduced hundreds of people to the shooting sports, and improved the safe gun handling skills of nearly everyone that has participated.

With the recent increase in new gun purchases and new shooters coming into the sport, we think now is an ideal time to have a renewed focus on gun safety. This focus isn't just about the safety at the range; it is about safe gun storage at home, around our loved ones. Instead of just hoping for fewer accidents, Friday Night Steel is putting its money where its mouth is, and is giving away a free safe at every match to help Keep Children Safe.

We’ll randomly select a shooter number and they'll receive a free safe. If you already have a safe and don't need it, we'd ask that you pay it forward and give it to someone that does.

Finally, while we may not always be able to afford this raffle, as long as we are profitable, we plan to continue with this investment in safety. Thank you for your attendance at our matches; without so many paying competitors and such a dedicated volunteer staff, this would not be possible.

I'm glad to hear that our first safe is going to be used to protect some grandkids. Not sure where our second safe is going to, but I'm sure it'll go to good use too. Thanks again to all FNS competitors for making this possible!
