Fellow MCFG Members and the General Public,
Just a quick message to reach out to folks and encourage people NOT to fire off their guns during the 4th of July fireworks (into the air, their backyard, etc., etc). As a gun enthusiast myself (I used to compete a lot in Steel Challenge) I always find the day after the 4th news stories about bullets landing in neighborhoods really disheartening . It's irresponsible behavior like this that makes gun owners look stupid, and that needlessly puts innocent bystanders and property at risk. If you know someone that you think might take part in this wreckless behavior and can put some peer pressure on them to stop, I'd appreciate it. Thanks for your help in keeping people safe, and making shooting sport competitors not look like a bunch of idiots that fire their guns in the air, while not even considering who they might hurt.
I only wish I saw more messages and news stories like this the day before the 4th, and fewer day after stories...
Sincerely,
Chuck
