Thanks for the rep! And seriously... go for it! I'm almost positive that I've seen folks do this with their full-sized 9mm pistols. Buy at least one little .45mag before cutting, though, to aid in measurements. Heck, take a notebook to a shop and make some tracings and take measurements!
