    • Thanks for the rep. I thought it would be useful, but I got a lot of negative vibes off it. Glad it was helpful.
Hey! Great to know--class of '84, my self. Grew up in Jackson...been up here since college. I drive my IU loving wife crazy with me trying to follow the Vols in BB, FB, WBB, and horse shoes, if I can. (She's kinda gotten used to my obsession over the last 25+ years though). Glad to know I'm not alone.
Thanks for the rep! Vol fan?
I usually avoid delving too deeply into politics here...but I guess the mood struck me last night :)
Hi Greg, I'm in Eastern Hamilton County in what used to be farm country but is now shopping centers and subdivisions... I usually listen to the 442.650 ICE repeater but will make it a point to scan 146.700 and see if we can hook up one of these days. My callsign is N9MB since 1997 and before that was KI5P dating back to 1979. Most of my air time I spend on HF CW where a lot of us old farts tend to hang out. 73, Major/45-70
Yes that was me. I was in Fortville for work, and figured I could check in with Hank in case anything rolled through, or NWS wanted to know what Fortville was seeing.
By the way, I like that pic of your wife and girls. Looks like you are bringing them up the right way if I might say so. I see it was taken just west of Danville. I work for Danville MPD.
Same here and I agree with you. The only time I OC is when I am in uniform though. Even when working plain clothes details I always CC. But that is just my preference. If a guy wants to OC I say knock themselves out. But they should (IMO) be prepared to be checked out from time to time due to calls from citizens or whatever. And for the one who chose to OC don't whine when someone calls in on you.

There is a percentage of guys that OC as a statement only. Some say to bring awareness to legal carry ect. and that might be right. But then we have some of the others that OC to showoff. They know nothing about their own firearm and have probably never even fired it. I was once sent on a guy OCing a semi auto MAC 10 in some homemade and very bizarre shoulder holster type getup. Problem was while he was standing in line at our local Speedway Gas Station, his muzzle was pointed right at anyone that was standing behind him. Of course it generated about six calls. He was legal but in talking to him he didn't even know what caliber the gun was. The thing had a 30 round mag and he had three rounds in it! That is IMO just plain weird. But whatever floats his boat. By the way, he was a nice guy.

I try to treat them all with dignity and respect at all times. But dang it is hard to do with some guys.

      Take Care
