Ive listed these for sale on another board more in line with these cars, BUT I figured I might as well list them here as too. Prices are OBO. Direct copy and paste:
1986 Dodge Omni GLH-Turbo
Up for sale is a 1986 Dodge Omni GLH-T, aka the purple car from SDAC-15. I've got a new project, so Im thinking of selling a couple of cars to dump funds into the new one.
I traded for this car a couple of years ago from the "original owner" (ie the guy who built the car). I dont have access (right this moment) to any good current pictures of the car, but it looks just like the pictures from SDAC-15, minus all the stuff on the back window:
All I did to the car was getting it running, fix a few minor issues here and there, and drive it the last two years during the spring/summer/fall back and forth to work. It has been flawless! Once I got it running right, it has gone everywhere with no issues.
Everything on the car functions great. The paint shines up great, and the interior is awesome shape! It has the classic cracked vinyl on the center arm rest, and some minor wear here and there, ie normal wear. Really, the interior of this car is one of the nicest 4-door Lbody red interiors Ive seen in a while.
This car needs nothing to be a good driver. It is a factory non-ac car. Has an 85 TI engine, and a 525 trans. Its been converted over to T2 w/ an 87 Stage II LM, 2 piece intake, and Daytona rad/IC. It has braided stainless turbo oil and coolant lines. and all solid poly engine bushings. Struts and shocks are newer KYB GR-2. Its rolling on nicely powder coated pizza wheels. The rear bumper and 3rd brake light have been shaved. The car runs well and is a blast to drive! Previous owner ran some mid 14s with it, but couldn't keep a trans in it. Current trans was a brand new rebuild when I got the car, and only has probably less than 5K miles on it.
Things that need attention:
1) I believe it has a bad headlight switch. Headlights work fine, but the dash lights dont want to come on unless you turn the knob a bit.
2) it will need front tires soon.
3) needs two door handles in the rear.
4) rear view mirror needs re-attached
5) I'm not a big fan of the yellow/pink "GLH" graphics (which are painted on). I wet sanded the passenger side rear "GLH" off the car, and sprayed a single stage paint back on the strip to see how I liked it. Idealy this would need to be wetsanded again, and shot with a clear and buffed out to match perfectly. Plus, the drivers side would need the same done.
I think thats about it, if you have questions, shoot me an email or PM.
Car is located in Terre Haute, IN, and is currently licensed and insured. Price is $3500 OBO, drive it home!
1987 Shelby Charger GLH-S #0465
Ok, I dont really want to sell this car, BUT Im going to list it for sale and see what happens. I purchased a new car and since this one never seems to leave the garage Im going to give this a whirl.
Up for sale is a bone stock 1987 Shelby GLH-S #0465. Originally sold by South Side Dodge in Indianapolis, IN right off the I465 loop.
I purchased the car probably 5 years ago from the original owners, a 75 year old man and his wife. They kept the car is excellent condition, and the last few years they owned it, the literally only drove it back and forth to church on Sunday, and on nice days ("I swear to God they did!")
Everything is original on the car except for the alternator (replaced under warranty) and the timing belt (replaced at recommend mileage interval). Everything is there, all the original shelby items are intact and on the car.
The paint is in GREAT shape, but it does have some blemishes on the front end because it has been driven. There is just over 100K miles on the car, but it rides and shifts like a new one. Interior is great, even the chrome stripes on the door panels look new, the only exception is some of the classic "yellowing" on the rear sail panels, and a scrap on one panel as well. No. Rust. At. All.
Ive taken the car to SDAC for many years, and always place in the 87 S class, and in 08 the car got a first place. Not bad for an all original 'survivor' car with some normal wear/tear and imperfections (but not many!).
Car is registered and insured, and located in Terre Haute, IN.
