Just wanted to throw this out there. I have had really good experiences with two companies that make custom 1911 grips. The first is RMH knives. Ron was great to work with and he will design your perfect grip. He has a wait, he told me 10 months but in reality it was less than 5, but it was worth the wait.
The second is Heirloom Artists. They don't seem to allow as much depth to the grip but I had them within a week.
So if you are looking for 1911 grips check these guys out.
