Got a flyer for a "Friends of NRA" banquet and auction in West Lafayette, September 12th. $50 a ticket for dinner. They will have several auctions of guns and games where guns are the prize. Are these worth going to or are they a hard sell to join the NRA and donate money?

The dinners are a lot of fun and the food is usually very good. They don't talk about joining the NRA, but it is a fundraiser for the NRA Foundation (non political side). The NRA Foundation raises money to support the shooting sports in America. This is a worthy cause in my opinion, and for $50, it's well worth attending. They have table games, raffles, silent auction and a live auction as well.
