This one is gonna be murdered out, all black pvd coating. I am a huge fan of the pvd/dlc coatings. They look really nice and provide a slick, heat resistant oil absorbing finish.

The new homemade fixture plate is working out well. Itís gonna make setting up slides for traditional serrations and 1911 frames for rail cutting much easier. Feels good to be getting a few things accomplished lately.

These are simple, Caspian style serrations that were just cut. No clean up needed.

Here is a closeup of these without any cleanup. This is straight off the fixture plate. I have changed the way I am cutting these and the lack of cleanup on the edges is a huge time saver.

The frame lines really cleaned up once the surface grinder got busy. Slide bevel complete and sights fitted. This one getting close to going out for finish.

A little end of slide bevel and a flush cut and crown. Crown is concentric to bore AND square to end of bushing!!!!

I love it when parts come back from the coater....It's always like Christmas. This is a PVD (similar to DLC) finish that I send out for. It is a really nice finish and on par with the cost of cerakote. About a two weeks is usual lead time.

Pistol on left will be all black and pistol on right is two tone black with stainless bead blast.
